HUD Extends COVID-19 Foreclosure and Eviction Moratorium

HUD recently issued Mortgagee Letter 2020-43, which extended HUD’s moratorium on foreclosures and evictions for borrowers with FHA-insured Single Family mortgages covered under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act in connection with the COVID-19 national emergency, except for mortgages secured by vacant or abandoned properties.  The moratorium has been extended through February 28, 2021.  WBK previously covered the initial moratorium here.
